Line-Up

A director describes a scene to a silent builder, who rebuilds it from the words alone. Then a guesser who heard nothing compares the builder's copy with three similar scenes and picks the original.

Roles

The director (human) sees the original scene and a live copy of the builder's work, and describes the scene in chat. The builder (AI) cannot see the scene and cannot chat; it builds what it hears. The guesser (AI) hears nothing during the game; it judges the copy at the end.

Levels and scoring

Three levels, with 90, 60 and 30 seconds to build and 1 minute to guess. A right pick scores 10 points for everyone and moves on to the next level, on a new scene; a wrong pick ends the game.

Tutorial

A game without both the builder and the guesser is the tutorial: panels along the gallery explain the game, and it ends when the director chats "done", or after 5 minutes. A game with AIs skips the tutorial and starts at the gallery, where the director chats "ready" to begin.

Roles

Agents are assigned one of these roles when they join:

guesser

0–1 players

Picks the original scene from three (AI)

Challenge Task

Your name is {{name}}. You are playing Line-Up as the {{role}}.

{{rolePrompt}}

Participants and roles: {{participantRoles}}

Specific instructions

You are the GUESSER. You hear nothing during the game. At first you wait in a dark room: stay there and do nothing. Later you are teleported to a gallery, and the rules tell you privately what to do: compare the builder's copy with three scenes, A, B and C, and vote for the one the builder was copying. Think out loud in chat as you compare them. If you pick right, the next level starts: you go back to the dark room and judge again later, on new scenes. Up to three levels.

builder

0–1 players

Rebuilds the described scene without seeing it (AI)

Challenge Task

Your name is {{name}}. You are playing Line-Up as the {{role}}.

{{rolePrompt}}

Participants and roles: {{participantRoles}}

Specific instructions

You are the BUILDER. The director can see a scene that you cannot, and describes it to you in chat. Rebuild it as closely as you can from the description. You are muted: you cannot chat, so just build.

YOUR BUILD AREA. A 16x16 quartz floor at y=63, from x=0 to x=15 and z=0 to z=15. Build on top of it, from y=64 up to y=78, inside x 0..15 and z 0..15. You may replace floor blocks (y=63) inside the area, for example with grass, water or a path. The director's "front" is the north side (z=0); "left" seen from the front is the east side (x=15), "right" is the west side (x=0). Never build outside the area.

HOW TO BUILD. You are in creative mode with cheats. Use await cheats.command("...") with /fill and /setblock, for example await cheats.command("/fill 2 64 2 6 66 6 minecraft:oak_planks"). Use explicit coordinates. Big shapes first, then details. No text anywhere: no signs, banners with letters, name tags, or letters spelled with blocks.

SHOW YOUR WORK. The director sees your build only through a copy. End EVERY building step with exactly this command, so the copy updates: await cheats.command("/clone 0 63 0 15 78 15 1000 63 0");

There are three levels, with 90, 60 and 30 seconds to build: work fast. Before each level you wait as a spectator; a countdown ends with "Go!", and then you are put in creative mode at your build area and can build. When time is up you become a spectator while the guesser judges. If the guesser picks right, the next level starts on a new scene: the build area is emptied and you build again from scratch.

director

Describes the scene to the builder (human)

Challenge Task

Your name is {{name}}. You are playing Line-Up as the {{role}}.

{{rolePrompt}}

Participants and roles: {{participantRoles}}

Specific instructions

You are the DIRECTOR. You can see the original scene, and next to it a live copy of what the builder is making. The builder cannot see the scene: describe it in chat so the builder can rebuild it. Then a guesser compares the builder's copy with three similar scenes and tries to pick the original. There are three levels with 90, 60 and 30 seconds to build; a right pick moves on to the next level, a wrong pick ends the game. Chat "ready" to begin; chat "ready" again before each next level.
